The New Britain Artists' Cooperative is a collection of artists living and working together in a creative, art-supportive environment. The artists represent a variety of disciplines and work in a broad range of media, from painting and sculpture to music composition, poetry and prose.
A refurbished historic building in downtown New Britain, a Connecticut city with a very active art community, provides the perfect foundation for this self-managed, democratically run cooperative. While growing individually as artists, members also work together to manage the cooperative, promote art as an integral and valuable asset of society, and develop/implement projects and events that enrich our community through art.
